Are you Registered Yet for IGLFA 2009? Welcome Minneapolis / St. Paul Crush and North American Gold Stars!

Are you registered yet for IGLFA 2009?  We are now under 100 days until the start of IGLFA 2009, and there is no time to waste to get registered.

IGLFA 2009 Would like to welcome first time IGLFA Tournament registrants - Minneapolis / St. Paul Crush and the North American Gold Stars, which is a combination of the new club in Austin, TX and some folks from Toronto!  We would also like to welcome new registrants from the Philadelphia Falcons Mens and Women's teams and the ladies from FTSC in Washington DC!

Registration for IGLFA 2009 continues on.  IGLFA 2009 registration fees are as follows until April 15, 2009

Individual Registration - $140

Team Registration - $2200 ($122 per person for a team of 18 players)

Non-player Participant - $60

The IGLFA 2009 Tournament is THE GLBT Soccer (football....futbol) Event of 2009.  Why be a part of just any sporting event when you can Be The Main Event!

No Team?  No Problem!

So you would love to come to DC for IGLFA 2009, have the time of your life on and off the pitch, and make new soccer-loving friends from around the world.  The problem is, you live in  a place that doesn't have an LGBT soccer club.  Or maybe you are part of a friendly team that, for some unfathomable reason, isn't coming to the tournament.

IGLFA 2009 organizers have a straightforward solution for players in need of a team - register as an individual player looking for a team, and let us find a team for you!  Either play with one of the registered teams that is looking for players, or we can place you on a team made up of other lone wolves.  Enterprising players who prefer to do their own legwork are welcome to use the "Players Looking for a Team" board on the IGLFA 2009 Facebook Page.

Registering as an individual player looking for a team is quick and easy.  Just go to the IGLFA 2009 Online Registration Center and click the option for "register as a player looking for a team."  We'll handle the rest!  Individual registration have already come in from players in London, Boston, Chicago, Sydney, Dallas,  New Jersey, and more.  Just Do It!  You know you want too!

Why are YOU attending IGLFA 2009?

IGLFA 2009 wants to know why you are attending this year's Official IGLFA World Championship.

Introducing Danielle Warby from The Flying Bats Women's Football Club  in Sydney, Australia!

Q: What is your name?

A: Daniell Warby

Q: Age?

A: 32

Q: What do you do for a living?

A: Online Marketing at The University of Sydney

Q: How long have you been playing football (soccer to us Americans and Australians)?

A: I played for a couple of years in high school then joined the Bats in 2004 and have been with them ever since.  I love it so much, I've been on the organising committee of the Club for a couple of years and this year, I'm Club President!

Q: How many IGLFA Tournaments have you participated in?

A: None, unfortunately.

Q: What is the biggest factor for you deciding to come to IGLFA 2009?

A: It all started when a mate asked me to visit her in New York and once I realized that IGLFA 2009 was on at the same time, and just down the road, I knew I couldn't miss it!

Q: What are you looking forward to most at IGLFA 2009?

A: I've never been to the US before and really don't know what to expect.  I'm looking forward to playing more football than I can handle, meeting loads of women (which I'm sure I can handle!) and generally having a blast.

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to share?

A: If you're ever in Australia, be sure to look up The Flying Bats, we're a very large lesbian club of nearly 100 members and we're always having fun both on and off the football pitch.  Also, I'm very keen to get involved with the organizers to discuss ways to increase women's participation.

Thank Danielle! If you would like to be featured in the IGLFA 2009 eNewsletter, answer the above questions and send a picture to use to michaelpranikoff@gmail.com
