IGLFA Board Meets In DC!
The Following is a letter from the IGLFA Board in regards to their recent Winter meeting in Washington, D.C.:
Dear IGLFA,
At the end of January, the IGLFA Board met in Washington, D.C. for our Winter Meeting.
We we graciously hosted by the Federal Triangles Soccer Club (FTSC) who we identified as a most hospitable & hardworking group - one with a clear vision of the road ahead.
The Board was fully briefed by the tournament organizing committee and took the opportunity to view the venues as well as the Host Hotel.
The Board was also pleased to hear the number of individual and team registrations to date. This will help ensure a competitive World Championship for both the Men's & Women's competitions.
The organizing committee have put together a wonderful advertising campaign and have done a remarkable job on the Administration to date. All this has been done in a very short amount of time as well, as the Washington DC hosts were not awarded the tournament until June 2008. We were very impressed by what was presented.
We are very happy to report that we found the committee to be working hard, are focused and operating with efficiency and enthusiasm.
The IGLFA Board made arrangement for the House of Delegates meeting to take place on Sunday June 14th following the Coaches / Captains meeting at the Host Hotel.
We look forward to seeing each and every team represented - please be sure to make a note of this in your calendars.
"If Washington D.C. can create the same friendly atmosphere for all participants as they did for us, players & guests will be sure to have a wonderful time!" - IGLFA President Klaus Heusslein
A very speacial "thank you DC for a wonderful presentation, we look forward to working with you!"
We encourage all IGLFA members to attend the 2009 Official IGLFA World Championship Tournament!
Sincerely,
Your IGLFA Board
