IGLFA 2009 Extends Early Registration Deadline to February 28, 2009!
IGLFA 2009 is pleased to announce that the Early Registration period is being extended until February 28, 2009!
Registration Rates will be extended as follows:
Team Registration is $1800USD for an 18 person roster - or $100USD per registered team player. A team can register a full roster now even without having all the players filled in. Individual registration will continue at $120USD. Also, the Non-Player Participant (Spouses, Friends, Family, etc...) registration will continue at $50USD. On March 1, 2009, the registration fees will rise. These rates will not be extended again.
Please also be sure that when you register, to pre-order your tournament t-shirt. During the registration process, you will also be given the opportunity to become an IGLFA 2009 Individual Sponsor,which includes a tournament t-shirt and helps the IGLFA 2009 Host Committee fund the event.
The IGLFA 2009 Tournament is THE GLBT Soccer (football....futbol) Event of 2009. Why be a part of just any sporting event when you can Be The Main Event!

IGLFA 2009 Welcomes The New York Ramblers, Florida Storm, Toronto Titans, Hotlanta Heat, Seattle Special Effect, and the London Titans!
IGLFA 2009 would like to welcome the following clubs that registered teams this past week.
The New York Ramblers, which is the very first organized openly gay soccer club (registering one team in each division); The Florida Storm; Toronto Titans; Hotlanta Heat; Seattle Special Effect (one of two Seattle teams); and the London Titans (winner of the London WC 2008 Fair Play Award).
IGLFA 2009 would also like to welcome players from the following clubs who registered players this past week: Dublin Devils FC, and the West Hollywood Eclipse (Men's Division Two Champions from the 2007 WC in Buenos Aires). This brings a total of 18 Men's teams teams that are currently set to be represented at the IGLFA 2009 Men's Tournament.
IGLFA 2009 has also been getting a lot of interest from women's teams that are interested in participating. We would like to extend a thank you to both The Festival of the Babes and Cherry Grrl for recommending the IGLFA 2009 Womens World Championship. Discounted Dorm Housing Available for IGLFA 2009 Participants
As part of ongoing efforts to make the IGLFA 2009 World Championship affordable for all who wish to attend, the host committee has signed a contract with Trinity Washington University to offer discounted dorm housing for participants. Rooms can accommodate one or two people and the rate is just $85USD per night, which includes taxes and linen/towel service.
"We are happy to offer this affordable housing option for IGLFA 2009 players and their companions," said tournament director Jim Ensor. "Trinity is a great facility and they will be fantastic hosts."
Trinity Washington University is located in Washington, DC, and is directly connected by Metro to Union Station, Dupont Circle, the host hotel in Woodley Park, and to Shady Grove, where buses will take players to the Maryland SoccerPlex for preliminary match play. Trinity will also host the playoff matches and potentially the finals.
