The Federal Triangles Soccer Club (FTSC) of Washington DC is pleased to be hosting The Official International Gay & Lesbian Football Association 2009 World Championship! 

 The Official IGLFA 2009 World Championship will be held from June 14th - June 21st, 2009.  The preliminary rounds of the tournament will be played at the Maryland Soccerplex - which is one of the finest facilities for the sport (soccer) in the United States.  The playoffs and championship games will be played in DC.  The tournament and the organizing committee is being fully supported by the city of Washington DC.

This is the second time that FTSC has played host the IGLFA global tournament, with the last time being in 1997.  That 1997 tournament was played on the National Mall with the Los Angeles Suns beating out the London Lions for the Men's Division 1 Championship; and the Philadelphia Falcons beating out Dallas Oak Lawn for the Men's Division 2 Championship.  Who will win this year?  Will it be your team?

Early Registration is NOW open for the Official IGLFA 2009 World Championship! Early Registration Fees are $120USD until Jan. 31, 2009.  On Feb. 1, 2009, the registration fee will rise to $140USD.

The great deal to be had during the early registration period is Team Registration.  Team Registration is $1800USD for an 18 person roster - or $100USD per registered team player.  A team can register a full roster now even without having all the players filled in.

Come to Capital Pride 2009!

The timing of the Official IGLFA 2009 World Championship couldn't be better!  Washington DC Capital Pride, is one of the largest Pride celebrations in the United States, is June 9th - June 14th, 2009. 

Capital Pride is a week long celebration that culminates in a large parade through the city that is currently scheduled to be on the evening of Sat. June 13th, 2009.   FTSC is working on getting access for anyone coming early to the tournament to be able to participate and walk in the parade! The evening is followed by parties throughout the city.  

On Sun. June 14th, 2009 the Capital Pride Festival will be taking place all day on one of the most famous and powerful blocks of real estate in the United States - Pennsylvania Ave. from the US Capital Building to the White House.  The Capital Pride Festival was host to over 200,000 people in 2008! We urge you to come show your pride and take part in this fabulous day!
