Hello raw food gourmands!
I know it�s been a while! I have been spreading the raw food love all over the country! I am blessed where my path has taken me and want you to know how well received this lifestyle has been! I have met so many people along the way who are just plain sick and tired of being sick and tired; people wanna simply feel and look their best! And vegan-raw foods are the answer!!

Throughout my travels, I have been touched most by the mom�s whose children are being affected by our lifestyle choices. My hat goes off to these super hero moms who go against all the swag �food� and messages marketed to our poor children and parents that try to say if they don�t do �certain� things, they are risking their children�s lives; um-um�vaccinations and loading our kids with cows milk and all that dead-flesh protein they supposedly need to grow (when you cook your meat over 50% of the protein is destroyed anyway). These parents have taken a stand to heal their children without chemicals, pharmaceuticals and Ronald McDonald (Please click here to join the fight to �Retire Ronald�! I have several �mom� clients who have sons that are autistic and we are making some real strides with diet change, maybe not as fast as we would like, but we are making progress when NOTHING else worked. These super hero moms are the most courageous women I have EVER KNOWN!!

I will never forget one mom who approached me after I spoke at the American Medical Autism Board�s Annual International Autism Conference. She told me her horrific story of her perfectly healthy little boy�s reaction to his vaccinations � he fell victim to a severe case of obsessive compulsive disorder only hours after his second round of vaccinations (there were concerns immediately after his first round, but the doctors reassured her it wasn�t the vaccines).  When I am having a stressful day and the growing pangs of my company push me to my limits, I see the anguish in her face, her pleading eyes wanting answers, and the guilt she will forever harbor for vaccinating her son. This is why I never give up even when all the odds are against me, and why I continue to spread the raw word no matter what the universe throws at me!

Again, to all the parents out there with �sick� children, it is not your fault. We are supposed to trust our doctors and our government to protect our children from harm. Sadly, we are learning the hard way that our innocent children are not being protected. It�s exactly the opposite and our children�s illnesses and disease are the result of our broken system.  

I�ll get off my soapbox and leave you with the powerful words of a renegade midwestern mom who is reversing her son�s autism:

�The system says he�s autistic because that�s how they define environmental toxin overload: It�s not their fault � we must change the system!

When I hear that there is no definite cause or cure for autism � I hear fear and laziness. I envision a collective ego that thrives on illness and disorder. I envision a system that does not want these children to break free because it would jeopardize their jobs, their beliefs, their reputations and of course THEIR MONEY.

I welcome autism because it will not be cured with a pill. It will not be cured by a teacher or a doctor. In fact it requires a complete paradigm shift from the modern frame of mind.

In order to relieve the pain that autism brings we must also honor its gift. Allowing these truly brilliant children to break through autism, means that we are giving a new hope to the world.  Hope that we can finally truly learn how to heal ourselves from whatever ails us. And, as these beautiful minds become clear, these children will be the teachers that lead us into a healthier more conscious future.�

News:

I am in the process of planning the FIRST KICK-ASS raw festival in the Midwest!! It's going to be half way between Detroit & Chi town and is going to BLOW AWAY the other raw festivals (I say this w/love)! And it's not just about raw food. We are making this about education and community, and not about VENDORS selling you stuff!!

There will be yoga, movement/dance, activism, spirituality, movie nights, cacao parties, and food demos; lectures on: colonics, liver cleanses, doshas, transitioning, how to green your home, etc., etc. It's going to be soooooooo educational. And EVERYONE is welcome. There will be advanced lectures and then stuff for the greenest of greenhorns. I will release the full details hopefully by next week.

In the meantime, here�s what I can tell you (this is just a taste of the action):
Mark your calendars. August 19th is the official kickoff party in Chicago and August 20-22 is the retreat that will be held in MICHIGAN!

The superfood company, Vivapura will be there with out-of-this-world products and of course, they�ll be bringing the LOVE. The owner will also be doing a DYNAMIC lecture on spiritual business. This amazing being went from a six-figure salary in corporate America, to slinging superfoods out of one of the smallest towns in Arizona, though everyone told him he was crazy. Now, a couple years later, he is almost bringing in 6-figures doing something he loves.

Ms. Elaina Love will be in the house! She�ll be wowing us with food demos and lectures all throughout the weekend.

Keep It local:
We are welcoming local Midwesterners to share in the love and people such as Ann Arbor native, Ellen Livingston will be talking raw and doing yoga!

And if you haven�t heard of Yoga Dan, you haven�t experienced yoga!! This Detroit native will be on site lecturing and teaching. You can friend him on Facebook � be careful, you�ll be hooked!!!

Eat:

Well, Andrea�s latest raw food obsession is cheesy broccoli and frozen chocolate-covered bananas with goji dust (and they are agave free! Please see her blog for the choco-covered nana recipe). We laugh here at Regeneration Raw � you�d think with her insane culinary training you wouldn�t find food like tacos and cheesy broccoli in her repertoire. Well, this is what makes Andrea so loved is that her food is fun, approachable and real, BUT tastes AMAZING!! Her simple food is so amazingly complex.

Cheesy Broccoli
Ingredients
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1/2 cup cashews
1/4 cup coconut aminos
Juice from 1/2 lemon
2 garlic bulbs, vein removed
1/2 red pepper, seeded and deveined
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Cracked red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions
Place all ingredients, except the red pepper flakes, in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Stir in cracked pepper to taste and pulse for 10 seconds. Taste and adjust for heat. To make broccoli, cut fresh broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Place into a stainless steel or glass bowl and cover broccoli with pure water until submerged. Wrap TIGHTLY with saran wrap, creating an airtight seal. Next, place into dehydrator at 145 degrees for an hour, or until broccoli starts to become tender (145 degrees, what? Calm down. You can dehydrate your food up to 3 hours at 145 without any enzyme or really any significant nutrient loss. Come to my Teacher training program and I will delve deep into this). Strain, place back into a dry bowl pouring cheese over the broccoli and tossing until evenly incorporated. Place back into dehydrator at 145 for 15 minutes, or at 115 until time of service.
