Couples will be judged on a point system and totals will be tallied at the end of the 5th week qualifying round. No couples will be ‘eliminated’ until everyone has performed and points are totaled.
Judges will grade on the following categories at 10 points each: Performance, Timing, Chemistry/Presentation, and Appearance.

Rules for trials:
Each week the couples will all dance as a group to one song.
Then each couple will dance individually for 2 minutes to a second song.
For the semi finals & finals, all couples will dance together. Then each couple will perform individually for 3 minutes to a song of their choice.
Winners are based on the scoring by the four professional judges.
PROFESSIONAL-AMATEUR DETAILS: (PRO/AM OR AM/AM COUPLE ONLY)
Professional: If you are a teacher, performer, in a dance company or training group or if you get paid or compensated to dance then you qualify as a Pro.
Amateur: If you're a student or social dancer then you're an Amateur.
POINT SYSTEM JUDGING
We are grading/judging on a Point System that will accumulate over the course of the contest. This means no one is qualified or voted out based on 'audience applause'. Couples that compete in Week 1, have just as much chance as winning as anyone that competes in Week 5 because judges will be looking at Total Points for all couples and chose the highest ones for the Finals.
